VIENNA is a city one can revisit endlessly and in 2013 it will be a top destination for decorative arts, as the Kunsthistorisches collection reopens and the new Liechtenstein museum. We can access some important collections, such as the pretty Rococo Geymullerschlossel full of clocks, and do special Art Nouveau itineraries with access to the Am Steinhof church (Wagner, 1904-7) in a suburb of Vienna and Klimt’s studio. We are also strong on Contemporary Art here, and can also source special tickets to the opera if you are booking last-minute.

GRAZ is another absolute favourite for a long weekend, especially for the gentle music festival organised by Nicolas Harnoncourt in July each year. The museums are quality, especially the Arsenal Armoury, which is quite outstanding, even for those theoretically uninterested. The Mannerist Eggenberg Castle on the edge of the town is a great draw, as are the Lippizaner foals at Piber. And being Austria there is are more schlosses in every direction.
